A message to DC comics

Hi! I'm delving back into the world of the internet today and finally writing another blog post! Sorry that I haven't really done much here recently, I wrote a blog post about Ryan Reynolds killing my dreams, but decided it was too ranty to actually put up, but now I have a bit of a weird thing, a message to, and about, DC. So, about 90% of the population prefer Marvel to DC, I much prefer DC personally, but I know for a fact that Marvel is generally considered better. Do you want to know why that is? Because Marvel have better movies. I think DC has the potential to be absolutely great, but Marvel is just plane nicer to the new fans, yeah, Marvel may not have as good stories or characters, but they're fun and friendly and well written. DC however, is the anti-hero of the two. DC sadly makes the movies dark and in small amounts, either giving us another terrible movie that isn't properly thought through like the Green Lantern or for some reason giving us another Batman or Superman movie, because we don't have enough of those already. What I think is, Marvel is focusing on the films entirely, almost neglecting their comic universe and spending a metric butt tonne of cash making the newest superhero film. DC have taken the cautious approach with only one movie every few years, and focusing on their comic books. This has really payed off, for us original nerds who actually read comics, but the new generation of only watching film superhero nerds just don't get anything from DC, meaning that their fanbase just hasn't grown like Marvel's has. Sure, every now and again someone actually bothers to read DC's comics and falls in love with them, but there just isn't enough of them. So overall, DC just doesn't get the good press and publicity needed, its slow start has meant it's going to be a struggle to ever catch up with the current popularity of Marvel. But I have hope, Marvel will give DC an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind Marvel, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join Marvel in the sun. In time, Marvel will help them accomplish wonders, and hopefully that comes in the form of a Flash movie. Until next time nerds,
